FAQ - Hat Cleaner
The misting bottle is a helpful tool that can prevent tide or water marks from appearing on your hats when you spot clean it. These marks are more likely to appear on light-coloured or white hats, so using the misting bottle is not necessary when spot cleaning black caps.
Captician Hat Cleaner is designed to effectively remove stains without causing any damage to the color of your cap. However, we recommend testing your hat for colour fastness in a hidden area before spot cleaning. This way, you can ensure that the stain remover does not affect the colour of your hat.
Our stain remover is safe for use on all non-water sensitive woven fabrics, including wool. However, it's important to always test the fabric for colour fastness in an inconspicuous area before applying the stain remover. Do not use it on leather or suede.
The current formulation is designed specifically for water and oil-based stains and cannot be used for tougher stains such as rust, blood, or oxidized stains.

from 12 reviewsI recently came across this site as I had seen the cap brush and it was hard to find initially until I came across her YouTube page and then the website. I ordered the large kit that had everything in it, when it arrived I was very impressed with not only the outter packaging which you can actually use as a storage box for your cap accessories and cleaning supplies. When I opened the box which is like a flip lid with a magnetic close on it to keep the flap in place, inside the box there was a nice black bag which contained all the products. The items themself were all in side along with a thank you note for Abi. This was a big plus for me because this more personal style or business is rare in today’s world so when I find a company like this I stick with them. All the contents of the kit were there, mist, cleaning solution, cap protection, 2 brushes and 2 cloths. The micro fibre cloths are very good quality and they don’t shed the fibres onto the cap when using it wet during cleaning. If the cap is bone dry you me get a few fibres but the brush included will easily take care of them. The larger of the 2 brushes for use with a dry cap for daily use is very good quality, it’s not an over hyped ad and then what arrives is a total joke. Good solid wooden handle and a good strength of fibres, strong enough to remove fluff and dirt off the cap but not so strong they damage the fibres of the cap in the process. I had an older cap that needed a full clean and following the process as per Abi’s video it can up a absolute treat, there was no discoloration or fuzzy fibre on the brim that’s cause by stronger cleaning agents that cause the fibers ti break down. I was extremely impressed and the process essentially had you using all the items in your kit. One of the main reason I order this was because of the hat protector solution. I done a patch test on the cap I had just cleaned up after it was fully dry. When that didn’t produce any issues, I then continued with the full process. I also had several new caps arrive and I wanted to get them protected. So I ran through the process of a experiment where I took three older caps that have never had protection applied and used 3 different protection agents. The ones I used is the New Era X Crep protect, Jason Markk repel and the Captician hat protector. I followed the manufacturers guidelines for applying each of the products. To save time explaining the detail of process I’ll jump to the results. The New Era protection was a very quick and easy process to follow but I would say to do it in a well ventilated area, it’s chemically very strong and it hangs around for a while. If anyone in the house has respiratory issues do it outside. I have a mask I use for string paints and sanding etc and I used this as I’m asthmatic. So this put me off using it again, however it was the easiest of the 3 to apply because it was compressed canister. So moving on to the Jason mark and the Captician. Both of these have similar processes but I decided to use the process that Abi uses which is on the bottle. I could do this because both of them are a spray mist so the only difference was the product. After applying them as per the process which all 3 entailed waiting for a period and then laying down a second coat. The results were New Era in 3rd place as it had a middle of the road performance but the application process requires a mask and going it outside or near a open window. It was so so strong. Next up, is the Jason Markk repel in 2nd place. This had on the fence results after applying two coats so I applied an additional 2 coats to give it as much protection as possible which then cuts into the number of caps you can protect with it. After the 2nd time applying the 2 additional coats the cap preformed much better and you could seen that water didn’t penetrate the cap. This is also an Eco Friendly product like the captician protector spray so it’s was much more pleasant to apply. So in first place the captician won it because following the process of applying two coats 15 minutes apart then 24 hours to dry, the cap managed to repel a steady stream of water that just beaded up like your car after just being waxed. So I then decided, what the heck lets do the chocolate milk like the picture on the website. I thought I was going to be down a cap, but no, it’s just ran off like the water. I unfortunately didn’t get a pic as my daughter wanted to pour the milkshake but I do have a pic showing the heavy rain last week and it just running of the cap. So yes, it’s a great preforming product and you see the quality in each of the items that come in the kit. It was worth every penny. The only small issue I had was that the brush was shedding excessively beyond just the typical new bush shedding a few hairs. I’ve never been able to clean my hats properly, or keep their shape… after much research and deliberation, I decided to order the Captician kit. When it arrived, I watched every instruction video and did my best to replicate them. I am SHOCKED with how clean my hats are now. This product is perfect for smaller stains, it can revitalize hat if the process is followed! For hats that are dirtier, it takes a lot more work which is understandable.
It actually cleans your hat unlike other brands of hat cleaner. I definitely recommend it and I also use the stain and water repellent thats works really good as well. All the products from Captician are awesome.

I love the protector I used as directed and honestly we had rain in Texas a few days and wore my fitted out in the rain a couple times hoping it wouldn’t get soaked like they have before but nope 🙌as soon as I got from up under the rain all I did was shake it off and my hat wasn’t soaked or damaged or anything 🙌🙌🙌I love the product sprayed about 30/40 hat’s already and about 400+ to go lol and about half a bottle left so I say the amount still left is speechless also so yes definitely a great MUST HAVE product for any cap holder and yes I’d love to try some of the new product aswell keep me updated I’d love to make some videos and reviews on it
